We had 4 remits from our 2020 AGM, They are as follows:
Remit One: 4 CYLINDER PRODUCTION CLASS – approved
Upping the CC rating on the 1600 class to 2000cc or potentially creating an additional class. This remit has now gone through the committee. The outcome is that 1600 class has now been raised to 2000cc, all other rules are as per 1600 class.
Remit Two: FENDER BENDERS – yet to be approved.
Benders to be allowed to run a single 32mm pipe around the radiator support panel. This is to keep better shape and condition of cars, due to plastic bumpers not being as strong as older steel bumpers. This will also bring more opportunities to other classes that have damaged their cars enough to not run them in their current class, having the ability to move to the bender class.
Remit Three: FORESTRY POINTS – approved
The ratio of bonus points available VS position points available doesn’t fairly represent the effort required to gain position points, in some situations, it should be possible for someone to miss a meeting (Wedding, funeral, Mechanical issue) and still have the opportunity to gain back points if they position well. for example; if you miss a meeting you can lose (8) points, (5) bonus points as well as next week’s bonus points (5) as you must be there consecutively to gain them. this means you can lose a total of 18 points and try gain back in the remaining 4 forestry meets. ( I know its (5) but you can only get bonus points from the second round. The resolution is to reduce bonus points from 5 to 2.
Remit Four: OFFROADERS & UTV’S – approved
The Offroaders and UTV’s constructed using the “ORANZ” construction rule book entered in the Waiuku Dirt Track Club Inc. The winter Hillclimb series compete within their class. Entrants to this class will qualify for positions and class points within the “Offroader Class” and the opportunity to compete for the separate overall Offroader Class “King of the Hill” points and trophies.
All competition vehicles will comply with Waiuku Dirt Track Club’s Inc, winter Hillclimb series, and meet the requirements before each event.
